Walk in Gods Path
Judges 13:1-8, 24-25
And then the People of Israel were back at it again, doing what was evil in GOD's sight. GOD put them under the Philistine's control for forty years. Sin never leads to freedom. At that time there was a man named Manoah from the tribe of Dan. His wife was barren. The barren womb is a good starting place for the purposes of God. When there is nothing, we (I mean the Israelites) sure know how to pray. (Only God can make something from nothing.) The angel of God told her, "You're going to become pregnant and bear a son." She could drink no wine or beer; eat nothing ritually unclean. No razor should touch his head—the boy will be God's Nazarite from the moment of his birth. These strict instructions will raise a great leader. He will launch the deliverance from Philistine oppression.
In time, this leader will kill a lion with his bare hands, kill 1000 Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey, and pull down the pillars of a house in which he was amusing the Philistines.
Point to remember: Gods way is the only way.
